Freeman Creek is the creative collaboration between husband & wife team, Steven Lundgren & Aprill Winney.


For the past 20+ years, they have made a life in the entertainment industry and are now expanding their mutual love for storytelling into the event space, offering high-end photo- and video packages for weddings, real estate, product launches, start-ups, and music ventures.


We work with the latest equipment and top notch crew in order to capture your special occasion in the best way possible.


We believe in a personalized approach, where every project is uniquely different and the client's wishes set the tone. After an initial meet, we help our clients come up with creative solutions that highlights the aspects that they care the most about.

WHO ARE WE?

Aprill was born in Camp Nelson in the beautiful Sequoia National Forest, not far from "Freeman Creek", where you can find some of the most impressive trees in the world. She started her career in Theatre at UCSD and proceeded to direct for the stage in Chicago, before coming to Los Angeles to begin her career in the film industry. After having spent close to ten years working closely with some of the Greatest Directors in Hollywood as a Script Supervisor, Aprill directed her first episode of Television. To date, she has directed two feature-length films and over 40 episodes of television. In 2020, she was nominated for an Emmy for her episode of the Apple TV+ original show "Ghost Writer".

Steve is an Award-winning Producer/ Director/Cinematographer from Sweden. He studied Literature and Film Studies in Uppsala and Stockholm, before starting to make his own films. He came to LA in 2000 and quickly established himself as a hard-working, dedicated member of the community. He has worked on over a hundred shows (TV, films, music videos, and commercials) mostly in the Camera- and Lighting Departments. He has produced, written, and directed eight short films and been in development for several of his feature-length screenplays. His varied experience behind the camera comes in handy when developing his own projects, be it a film, or when shooting an event of any size.

OUR STORY

We got married in 2014 at a wonderful venue in the Santa Monica

Mountains with 70+ of our closest family and friends as witnesses.

It was an amazing day, with lots of love and laughter that we will remember forever.


One of our close friends is a fantastic photographer, and we got a lot of really nice photos from the day, but for some reason, we neglected to hire a videographer. Perhaps it was just too close to what we do every day, or perhaps it had to do with the fact that most of our friends that do Cinematography/Videography were guests at the wedding...or maybe we just forgot.


It is one of the things we regret the most. Had we known

just how many special things - speeches, performances and

videos our friends had planned for us, we would have

absolutely wanted to capture it all on video.

But alas, we did not. That was a mistake.


We love to tell stories visually and we think it's time to tell yours

You chose how you want your special event to look like. We offer a range of packages, from small to big. We will work with you to capture your special event exactly the way you want it.


We gravitate toward a professional, cinematic style with deliberate camera moves and inspiring framing, but we can also capture the event with a more fluent, unstaged documentary feel. That is all up to you.

FAQs

What does your process look like?

After a phone call or email, we schedule a meet where we start getting a feel for the project and what the client/s have in mind. We then create a proposal with all the various considerations included and then we can schedule a follow up either via phone or in person before starting the job, if the proposal is accepted.

What about payment?

Once the job is accepted and the contract is signed, we start our preparations for the job, at which point, the first 30% of the fee is due. The second third is due after the event is filmed, and the final third upon delivery of the finished, edited project, once accepted (for information about revisions etc, see the different packages).

What if we change our minds?

Once the contract is signed, we consider the agreement binding and the initial 30% of the fee will be forfeit. Special consideration will be taken, if there are extenuating circumstances making it impossible to continue the project. We will of course work with you if the event has to be postponed for any reason.
